Evernote and Google collaborated to bring out a much easier way to add and search for Google Drive files right from Evernote.
According to Lifehacker, users can click the Drive icon in Evernote to add any files you want to a notewhich can also be seen when searching files in Evernote. Hence, organizing is easy when both apps are properly utilized.
Evernote CEO Chris O'Neill has said that the business collaboration is a "natural progression", notedEvernote.com. "Once people see how well Evernote and Google Drive work together, they'll use both products intuitively," says the CEO added.
On the other hand, Group Product Manager for Google Drive Alex Vogenthaler said that making it possible is only a natural thing for them to do as well. "Evernote is a great productivity tool and we want anyone using Drive to have access to their content whenever and wherever they're trying to get stuff done. That's the cloud at its best," as quoted.
This could be just the beginning of their partnership. As per online journal, other platforms will be developed after the beta integration is out for Chrome and Android.
Notably, ZDNET revealed that Evernote has experienced some struggles within their organization and cutbacks in the past. And this first step of working with Google must be a good sign that the company is ready to regain their profitability.
