Oculus has recently announced that they will be rolling out a few new features for the Samsung Gear VR so that users can always find the headset more interesting than the rest.

Among the new selections announced on last Wednesday, the most notable feature was perhaps, the Nomad - a 3D video series from Felix & Paul studios, which examines lifestyles in the remotest part of the world.

However, what stands out from the rest is the support for Facebook 360 - degree photos. Facebook has recently announced that they will have 360 photos in the News Feed, which means users will be able to shoot panoramic images via their smatphones and upload on social media. Thus, these 360 - degree photos will be viewable through the Oculus 360 Photos App, according to Tech Times.

"Oculus can help people experience anything, anywhere," boasted Max Cohen, the company's head of mobile, according to Indian Express. "We think this (technology) can actually change people's lives."

Additional updates for the Gear VR include newly released videos and games. Some of the most popular games include "Gunjack", "Land's End", "Lucky's Tale" and "Dreadhalls."

Notably, the Oculus mobile app will not be releasing any new updates soon as it will feature a "What's New" section, along with an improved library, which will categorize contents in different tabs like installed, not installed and updates.

This development and update reportedly is to commemorate the newest milestone of Oculus, which is hitting the 1 million Gear VR user mark.

"Over 1 million people used Gear VR last month to experience the incredible collection of immersive games, videos and experiences available on the Oculus platform," Oculus said.

Thus, with this rapid expansion of the Oculus kingdom, it seems that in the future Facebook and Oculus might team up to create amazing effects.
