ZTE has launched a new mid-range smartphone device for the company's new "Blade" phone series. The new device is called the Blade D Lux, which comes with a 5.5-inch, 720p touch-screen display. The handset also has a 720 x 1280 pixel resolution with a 2.5 D Corning Gorilla Glass for protection.
This dual-SIM-supporting mobile phone will ship running Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box on a 1.2-GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor. It has an Adreno 360 GPU with a 2GB RAM and an internal storage of 16GB that is expandable up to 64GB via a microSD card.
ZTE Blade D Lux boasts of a 13-megapixel main rear-facing shooter with an LED flash and an 8-megapixel secondary front-facing "selfie" shooter. In terms of connectivity, the phone supports 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and micro-USB. The handheld device is said to be powered by a 3000mAh battery.
The handheld device is now available in Vietnam and Singapore and is priced at ₫3,890,00 VND and $239 SGD, respectively. The latest device from ZTE will be sold by the M1 carrier in Singapore. So far, the smartphone is said to be available in only one colour variant, which is white.
The Blade D Lux smartphone is the latest device to be debuted by ZTE. It could be recalled that some time last month, the Chinese mobile manufacturer also launched Blade A1 in China. The Blade A1 has similar specs with the Blade D Lux but has a smaller 5-inch display and only runs on a 1.3GHz 64-bit octa-core MediaTek MT6735 processor. It is also powered by a smaller 2800mAh battery.
There are also three earlier launched phones under the Blade series, Blade X3, Blade X5 and Blade X9. These phones were revealed last year in the month of November. Among these mobile devices, the Chinese phone maker also managed to unveil the Blade S7 smartphone.
The S7 is created to become the perfect mobile device for selfie lovers and the company's attempt to court the selfie-loving public. But that's not all as it was during the recently concluded CES 2016 that the Chinese smartphone manufacturer also launched two new smartphones in its US branch, the Grand X 3 and the Avid Plus devices.
