Samsung launched its latest 10-inch tablet (or should we say phablet) at Mobile World Congress 2012 – Galaxy Note 10.1.
Galaxy Note 10.1 is Samsung’s first 10.1-inch tablet that combines the technologies of mobile phones, tablets, and digital notepads. The 10.1 Galaxy Note is an Android-based tablet which allows users to also write on it using a digital pen.
Among the configuration of Samsung’s device, one can find 1.4 GHz dual-core processor, an Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) OS, plus the company’s very own Touchwiz interface. Other features include screen resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels, 16, 32 or 64 GB storage memory option (expandable through a microSD card slot), two cameras (rear-facing 3 megapixel shooter and front-facing 2-megapixel camera for video chat), and S Pen, the stylus that lets the user put down his thoughts on the device, anytime, anywhere.
The device, which weighs around 580 grams, will start shipping in May in Sweden and will cost 5,200 Swedish kronor (around US $790), excluding taxes. The company has not yet announced the product availability for the rest of the world.
