Oppo is reportedly all ready to launch a new series of smartphones this January. The Chinese smartphone maker said that its latest will be the F-series smartphone, which has photography as its central focus.

The said Oppo F-series will start its launch by unveiling first its Oppo F1 smartphone. Oppo Vice President and Managing Director of International Mobile Business Sky Li said that their new series will be inheriting the excellent camera performance and exquisite design tradition that they have employed with their other already launched smartphones. Li mentioned that the phones will have impressive specifications partnered with amazingly good prices.

According to Li, they are excited to introduce their latest series to the public. The new series will allow an even wider range of users across the globe so that more consumers can experience Oppo's excellent photography technology. Aside from the given information, there are no other details revealed. But the announcements will probably make it at the CES 2016 trade show.

Meanwhile, speculations are flying around about the upcoming Oppo F1. It is said that it will be a global version of the Oppo A53. Oppo A53, which was launched last month in China, features a 13-megapixel rear shooter that has CMOS sensor and LED flash and a 5-megapixel front shooter. Both cameras are seen on most of Oppo's devices.

If the Chinese smartphone manufacturer's F1 model is almost the same as the A53 build, then it is expected that it would have a 5.5-inch HD display with a 720 x 1280 pixel resolution, an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 616 processor and a 2GB RAM. It can also have a 16GB expandable storage and could be powered by a 3075 mAh battery. The Oppo F1 smartphone could also be expected to be supporting dual SIM and to be running Android 5.1.
