It would seem like Apple has run into a little problem or it could be because they just decided to put their attention to just one other product. Whatever the cause is, one fact is still out there; they have just delayed their plans to bring live television service to the Apple TV device. A depressing thought for some users who have been awaiting the arrival in order to ditch their classic cable TVs.

And that indeed is what happened, as the tech company is doubling down on their App Store. The move is said to come after their negotiations with major media networks did not progress. The reason for the stalled negotiations is because of the tech company's intention of offering 14 or more channels at a cost of $30 USD to $40 USD per month which networks think they aren't getting enough for their programming.

It is known that current cable plans for the similar number of channels is priced at about $85 USD per month. So it's either Apple raises their price or persuades media companies to accept their lower rate for them to progress with their live-TV plans. So far, the tech company is not showing signs of what it'll do now, except for the delayed launching. Sorry folks, seems like there will be no launch anytime soon; a 2016 launch is also not likely.

Apple has been working on having a live internet based TV service. But up till now, it has seemed to elude their grasp. There have been obstacles one after the other that are still yet to be solved. One major obstacle could also be the difficulty of having to secure the rights for hundreds of local stations; add that with breakdown in negotiations and a delay would be the least of Apple's worries.
