Apple may be a giant, but it is still growing. Last month, Apple Inc. one of the top techno making companies, officially opened their subsidiary company in Vietnam. According to a news announcement seen at Vietnam's national business registry, Apple Vietnam Limited Liability was registered and established on October 28 registering a capital of 15 billion VND or 672,194 USD.
The opening of the company, which is based in Ho Chi Min City, will enable Apple to import and distribute cellphones directly into one of the fastest growing smartphone market in the Asia-Pacific area. Apple Vietnam Limited, according to the announcement, will be conducting wholesale businesses of various products which include Apple's signature smartphones.
Apple Vietnam Limited will also provide technology, maintenance and advising services to their consumers. Prior to its establishment, it has been observed that the number of phone subscribers in Vietnam has increased by 26% from the years 2009 to 2013, totalling 124 million in all.
Aside from that, it has also been noted that the total number of internet users has also grown and has even surpassed Vietnam's 90 million population two years prior. This simple information has been noted and could have been one of the deciding factors when Apple Inc. decided to open a subsidiary company within the country.
Apple Inc. has seen their sales in Vietnam tripled during the first half of last year. This was five times faster than India, despite the fact that they have a smaller population, making the country Apple's hottest market. Apple Inc. is also known to operate another subsidiary company in Ireland which was kept for corporate tax-related purpose
Meanwhile, Apple Inc. competitors have also invested billions to build their own smartphone and electronic products plants across the Southeast Asian nation.
