Avid runners and cyclists can now enjoy their favorite hobby while charging their iPhones using the BSEEN LED belt with 4000 mAh battery. With the product's effective LED light panel, the user is less likely to encounter accidents since he or she can clearly be seen while on the road.

In a study conducted by National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) in 2012, more than 4,000 pedestrians died and around 70,000 got injuries due to traffic accidents in the United States in 2010.

According to Chris Cooper's blog, the statistics are equivalent to one "pedestrian being killed every two hours and injured every eight minutes." The pedestrian was defined in the study as any individual who is lying down, sitting, hiking, jogging, running, or even walking when the traffic accident took place.

In addition, the National Safety Council stated that "chances of being struck and killed as a pedestrian increase 1100% after dark. No wonder, products like BSEEN LED belt packs are being endorsed by running groups since it can save lives. Moreover, this product has reflectors and illuminators that provide more visibility. Therefore, the pedestrian can easily be seen from different angles.

BSEEN is located in California and they teamed up with Trident Design of Columbus, Ohio to create the unique LED safety belt for sports enthusiasts. Currently, the BSEEN LED pack is available at Indiegogo for several types of bundles. There are also promotional offers like their Buy 1, Get 1 free that also includes complimentary battery packs.

The main purpose of BSEEN for putting a project in Indiegogo is to raise a $25,000 fund for the production of the LED belt pack. The campaign was able to raise $6,550 and it has 55 days remaining to pull the fund. BSEEN was able to reach more than $6,000 because of the purchases made by 122 people.

Since the project will still run for more than a month, the interested individuals are being invited to purchase even the basic belt that only costs $20. Although the belt is considered basic, the LED lights have three settings, but it does not have the capacity to charge iPhones, according to Cult of Mac.
