Slack has stayed on top of the game after it introduced a new way to chat and communicate online. Slack is more than just a group chatting tool because it allows users to do other tasks and to share documents under one roof. Now, Koombea is trying to break into the market by adding their Convergely integration that will help the users be more productive online.
Convergely adds new functions to Slack aside from the basic chat, group chat and online file directory. With Convergely, the users can schedule time-zone sensitive messages and auto responders. It also has the ability to transfer photo files, assign tasks to each person and to have more group collaboration with its polling feature.
The beta is currently available for integration to anyone who has an existing Slack account.
Koombea CEO Jonathan Tarud said Slack integrations are very important. This is the distinguishing line between the free version in Slack and the paid one.
Tarud added that Convergely allows users to incorporate their well-known work habits back in Slack like the group message scheduling. "We're building a small ecosystem of apps to extend that functionality," said Tarud.
The beta version is currently offered for free, but according to The Next Web, Koombea plans to expand their reach and offer a paid service in the future.
Meanwhile, Slack also has a built-in option to utilize the "bot" tool. This tool can be automated and created by the manager of the team.
The bot can be used to send personal messages to the team members asking them for updates on their projects. Then, the bot collects all of the responses and shares its reports to the group.
