Motorola is apparently ready to launch a 4G LTE-enabled version of its popular Moto G (2014) smartphone, as the company's Brazilian website reveals.

The Moto G has been a widely successful handset for the company, raising the bar in terms of what budget smartphones have to offer. The original model launched in 2013 became Motorola's most popular smartphone, and a 4G model of that handset arrived in June this year. The company then launched a new Moto G (2014) back in September, as well as a Moto G Dual SIM, and it now looks like a 4G LTE variant of the smartphone is in the cards as well.

The official Motorola Brazil website now mentions a Moto G (2014) 4G LTE model, leaving little doubt that such a version is about to hit the market soon. The website is not allowing customers to purchase this version just yet, and makes no mention of when exactly it will go on sale.

It also remains unclear at this point just how much this new version will cost, but it will surely be more expensive than the regular model. In addition to 4G LTE connectivity, this new Moto G (2014) variant also sports a larger 2,390 mAh battery, marking a notable improvement over the 2,070 mAh unit found on the original model.

At the same time, while the standard Moto G (2014) comes in 8GB and 16GB internal storage configurations, this new model will apparently come in a 16GB option only. Customers will be able to add up to 32GB of extra memory via microSD. The new Moto G 4G LTE is also slightly heavier than the original model, weighing 155g instead of 149g.

The rest of the specifications remain unchanged, including the Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 quad-core processor clocked at 1.2GHz, the 5-inch IPS LCD display with an HD resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels, 1GB of RAM, and 8-megapixel rear camera. On the software side, Android 4.4.4 KitKat runs the show, but an upgrade to Android 5.0 Lollipop should be available straight away.

The fact that Motorola's Brazil website mentions the Moto G (2014) 4G LTE suggests that this variant should make an imminent debut, but it remains unclear at this point just when exactly and which markets it will hit first. We'll let you know as soon as we find out more, so stay tuned.
