HTC has officially announced that it will be holding an event on Wednesday, Oct. 8, when it is expected to take the wraps off its latest products.

The rumor mill has been busy churning recently in regards to new HTC products set to debut soon, especially the much-touted HTC One M8 Eye. As the name itself suggests, this variant is expected to arrive as yet another spinoff of the popular HTC One M8 flagship.

Other rumored devices that may officially debut tomorrow include the HTC Desire Eye, which is expected to launch as the ultimate selfie phone, as well as some sort of weird mobile camera dubbed the RECamera.

The upcoming HTC One M8 Eye is rumored to come with a twin-camera setup, but with a notable improvement: the new variant should have a 13-megapixel dual camera on its rear, not the 4-megapixel UltraPixel setup gracing the original One M8. Otherwise, the One M8 Eye is expected to retain all other specs and features from the original flagship.

The HTC Desire Eye, meanwhile, is rumored to come with a whopping 13-megapixel front camera, which is why it's been dubbed the ultimate selfie phone. The handset is also expected to have a 13-megapixel rear camera, in addition to a slew of other strong specifications. Rumors so far have pointed to a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor clocked at 2.3GHz, 2GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage capacity, and a large and removable 2,400 mAh to keep things up and running. The smartphone will reportedly sport a 5.2-inch display with full HD resolution.

Lastly, the rumored RECamera remains shrouded in mystery somehow, as we're not sure what to make of it just yet. At first, rumors suggested that it would enter the personal mobile video camera space and go up against the likes of GoPro. Subsequent rumors, however, indicated that it would not be up to GoPro's level. It all remains unclear at this point, but we should soon get the official scoop straight from the source.

With HTC's event just around the corner, all rumors should be put to rest soon and we should have some concrete information. It's worth reiterating that HTC's event is scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 8. The image above may be confusing to some due to the difference in date format between regions, but 10.08 here means Oct. 8, not Aug. 10.
