Keiji Inafune's 'ReCore': Release Date Possibly Leaked by UK Retailer
Jazz RosinYet another release date was leaked this week, this time for the action-adventure game, "ReCore".
A UK-based retail store, SimplyGames, posted a pre-order link for the Microsoft-exclusive game, showing a UK release date of October 28. The leak was spotted by various gaming news sites, including ThisGenGaming.
This means that the game might possibly be released in the US on October 25.
"ReCore" is being developed by game studio Comcept, which is headed by former Capcom designer and "Mega Man" creator Keiji Inafune, and Armature Studio, formed by designers who worked on "Metroid Prime 3" and "Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate".
Apart from the star-studded development team, composer Chad Seiter, who co-created "The Legend of Zelda: Symphony of the Goddesses" and "Pokemon: Symphonic Evolutions", will be creating the music for the game.
The sci-fi adventure game was first revealed during Microsoft's conference at last year's Electronic Entertainment Expo, or E3. The only details revealed for the game so far is that it will feature a female protagonist and her robotic dog companion, whose energy core can be transferred into another robot shells.
Microsoft also revealed during the conference that "ReCore" will originally be an Xbox exclusive. However, the game company announced early this year that the game will also be available on PC, Gamereactor reports.
Unfortunately, fans have not heard from "ReCore" since, despite the promised 2016 release date window. It is possible that the game will be at this year's E3, however. NeoGaf forums spotted a "ReCore" Concept Art which will be showcased at Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences' "Into The Pixel" 2016 collection.

It is also worth noting that Keiji Inafune's other game, "Mighty No. 9", has also faced numerous delays before it settled on its June 21 release date. Inafune has already expressed regret over the game's delays, according to Siliconera.
Yesterday, Mobile & Apps reported a possible March 2017 release date leak for "Scalebound". The Simplygames website, on the other hand, shows an October 27, 2017 release date on its site. Fans may not be able to completely rely on these retail sites when it comes to launch dates, but with E3 around the corner, maybe a more official release date will be confirmed.
