Samsung seems to be riding high on the success of its Galaxy Note 2 phablet, which recently crossed the 3 million units sold milestone in a little over a month of the device's release. Building on the phablet's success, Samsung has taken things a step further and pulled out a marketing coup of sorts when the Galaxy Note 2 was used at the American Music Awards 2012 (AMA 2012) to announce winners instead of the traditional envelopes and note cards.

On Wednesday, Nov. 14, Verizon Wireless announced that it would be offering the Windows Phone 8X by HTC and Nokia's Lumia 822 from Nov. 15. Previously, Verizon had only mentioned that the devices would be available prior to Thanksgiving, but had not disclosed a specific date.
