If you've been wondering what the iPad 5 is going to look like, look no further than these mockups of what the iPad 5 is expected to look like.

It's about time for Apple to give its flagship iPad a makeover. The iPad 5 will reportedly take major design cues from its smaller and the very popular iPad mini. There have already been leaked rear back cases for the iPad 5, so MacRumors wanted to see what the device would actually look like with all the information it has on the upcoming iPad.

MacRumors had CiccareseDesign create renderings of an iPad 5 based on all the technical information it could provide. The company used the provided information, the rear iPad 5 casing and created these very believable renderings of what Apple's next iPad is probably going to look like.

Reportedly Apple will make the fifth-generation iPad 4mm shorter, 17 mm narrower, and 2mm thinner than the current generation iPad design. This would make the iPad 5 as thin as the iPad mini.

Apple will also be bringing the iPad mini's bezel to the iPad 5 - the current generation iPad bezel looks so thick compared to the iPad 5 render and the actual iPad mini's bezel. This definitely adds some style to the upcoming iPad. To make the tablet significantly thinner and shorter, Apple is expected to use a thinner display, smaller battery, and other smaller components to shrink the iPad 5 down just enough to still keep that 9.7-inch Retina display front and center on the tablet.

MacRumors doesn't expect to see this iPad until the fall since Apple just released the 128GB iPad. It will most likely debut in the fall with the iPad mini 2. Do you think this is what the fifth-generation iPad is going to look like? Let us know in the comments.
