"Shadow of Mordor 2" is well underway for release in August this year, following a recent retailer leak online. Warner Bros. has been keeping things under wraps for sometime before officially launching the sequel to 2014's title.
However, the latest retailer leak has made the rounds online and it is now confirmed legit. It indicates tons of details to know about the follow-up entry to the "Shadow of Mordor" franchise. The said listing seen online has revealed the game's new title, the storyline, prices, the release platforms as well as the game's standard and gold editions.
Title and Storyline
Based on the listing found at Target website, the new game is most likely called "Shadow of War" as its title. The description of the game tells that gamers will be able to explore a vast open-world revived by the Nemesis System. They can forge a new Ring of Power, vanquish Fortresses in iconic battles and gain control over Mordor with their own army in Middle-earth: Shadow of War.
Release Platforms, Game Editions and Prices
The listing further revealed that "Shadow or Mordor 2" that could be titled "Shadow of War" will arrive on PS4 and Xbox One consoles while there is no indication of a PC version coming. However, the announcement with the new trailer confirms that a PC release will also be happening, as per Metro.
The game will also come in two editions, namely the Standard Edition and the Gold Edition. The Standard Edition is priced at $59.99 while Gold Edition gets a hefty price of $99.99 a piece.
The "Shadow of War" Gold Edition will contain four expansion packs such as Slaughter Tribe Nemesis Expansion, Outlaw Tribe Nemesis Expansion, The Blade of Galadriel Story Expansion, The Desolation of Mordor Story Expansion and a Gold War Chest. All in all, this special edition sums up to $125 in total price. Hence, players who buy this package will save $25.
"Shadow of Mordor 2" or "Shadow of War" is a follow-up to the highly successful game release "Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor" adapted from J.R.R Tolkien's legendary novels under the development of Monolith Productions and production of Warner Bros.
