"Once Upon a Time" Season 6 cast news shows that there may be some major cast shakeups and departures should the ABC drama get renewed for Season 7. As Carter Matt reports, majority of the cast members' contracts are up and the show will be introducing new cast members for a potential season 7.

Should "OUAT" Season 6 be renewed for Season 7, viewers should also expect for some major changes in the show's plot. In an earlier interview with Deadline, ABC Chief Channing Dungey explained that the current narrative of the show will be wrapped up before the current season ends.

This means that either "Once Upon a Time" Season 6 will be the series finale or Season 7 may feature an entirely different set of cast and characters. There are rumors that Jennifer Morrison will be leaving the ABC series as Emma Swan.

As Digital Spy reports, Morrison previously shared with The Drop-In podcast that her contract with "Once Upon a Time" Season 6 will end in April. She admitted that she has no idea whether the show will be renewed for another season or not.

Morrison admitted that while she has no "interest in abandoning something that is such a special part of my life," she knows that she will have to say goodbye to her role in "Once Upon a Time" sooner or later. Morrison added that her decision will depend upon the network's plans for the show.
