The South Korean tech giant Samsung revealed its Galaxy Camera at the IFA event in Berlin. The Galaxy Camera will run on Android Jelly Bean 4.1.
"In this new era of visual communication the Samsung's Galaxy Camera marks a breakthrough in convergence technology, combining the leading edge design of our Galaxy mobile products with high performance photographic capability," said Robert King, Vice President, Consumer Electronics, Samsung UK and Ireland.
The Galaxy Camera is a 16-megapixel 1/2.3" BSI CMOS device. The camera boasts a 21x optical zoom, which makes it easier to shoot distant subjects like a sporting action or wildlife and can also be used for zooming in to click portraits of friends and family.
