Respawn Entertainment has recently provided details on the upcoming March 2017 update for "Titanfall 2", including the game's Live Fire mode. The new update comes with an overhauled Colony map, bug fixes, new online features and game balancing. Arriving with the update is a new weapon, new pilot execution animation and many more.
The developer has also offered snippets of information for the next Live Fire mode of "Titanfall 2". Griffin Dean, the designer of the new mode, describes it as a "fast-paced round-based 6v6 pilot only elimination mode."
"Each round runs sixty seconds and the team who holds the the flag at the end of each round will be the winner. Live Fire was inspired by speedball matches in paintball," Dean explained.
He further said that they want to obtain the spirit of these lightning-fast competitive matches with a Titanfall twist. He further explained that Live Fire is basically about forward momentum. The player has to make a progress against its opponent, attack them without any hesitation and make quick decisions that will determine their team's victory.
According to Nerd Stash, this new mode is fast-paced, allowing players to experience combat without their mechs. Players will be more engaged in teamwork and strategy compared to other modes. The players' first person shooter skills will be very useful in Live Fire mode.
Polygon notes that Respawn promised to add two maps for the mode's "Stacks and Meadow" and another map for "Columns". The map for "Columns" is based from the game's Coliseum mode. On the other hand, Colony map from the original "Titanfall" title will also be featured back in the new title.
All of this content is free to download and there are also paid contents coming to "Titanfall 2". These will be in the form of Prime Titans, execution animations and new cosmetics.
"Titanfall 2" is developed by Respawn Entertainment and published by Electronic Arts. It is a sequel to the orginal Titanfall the game for PS4, Xbox One and PC. The first free DLC titled "Angel City's Most Wanted" was released in November last year.
