If latest reports are to be believed, "Vampyr" and "Call of Cthulhu" will be released in the fourth quarter of 2017. Focus Home Interactive recently updated the product pages of both the games and this has caused a lot of fan excitement. Game-development studio Dontnod and publisher Focus Home Interactive have gone into a partnership to develop "Vampyr." The new role-playing is powered by Unreal Engine 4 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. Players will have to explore the darkly atmospheric streets of early 20th century London.

"Vampyr" is an action RPG where the action takes place in the middle of the Spanish flu outbreak, writes WCCFTech. Dontnod has tried showcasing the dual nature of protagonist Jonathan Reid, who is a doctor on one hand, trying to help and heal, and one the other hand, he is a dreaded killer thirsty for blood. Player actions will play a major role in shaping the environment and the story. As experience is gained from kills, players need to decide wisely whether to kill NPCs without mercy for human life or to spare them.

In terms of abilities, the character is underdeveloped. Meanehile, "Call of Cthulhu" is being developed by Cyanide. The RPG/Investigation game revealed its secrets to fans via a "Depths of Madness" trailer, shared below. Private detective and game's protagonist Edward Pierce is on a mission to Darkwater Island where he discovers the truth behind the death of a celebrated artist and her family. It's a game where players need to go with their instinct and doubt everything as they progress in the game.

"We are happy that Focus entrusted us with the development of a videogame adaptation of the legendary RPG Call of Cthulhu. As long-time fans of the license, working with longtime partner publisher Focus Home Interactive on such an original and exciting project is, once again, a privilege. We hope to offer fans the game they've long been waiting for," said Cyanide Studio CEO Patrick Pligersdorffer.
