The rumored iPad Mini's expected launch date of Sept. 12 is not far away and the tech market is rife with speculations on iPad Mini's features and design. Recent rumors suggest that the iPad Mini will resemble either a bigger iPod Touch or a bigger iPhone.
The 7.85-inch iPad Mini has been heavily rumored since the launch of the Google Nexus 7. 9to5Mac reports the tablet will probably be 7.2-mm thick, just like the current iPod Touch. The device will have a wide top and bottom bezels, similar to that of an iPhone, and practically no side bezels. The reason for the device to be designed this way is to make it easier for the users to put in a purse or a pocket.
"This iPod touch-like design makes a lot of sense for a number of reasons. For one, when compared to the Nexus 7 (and Kindle Fire, Galaxy Tab 7, RIM Playbook, etc.), this would give the iPad mini a similar, purse-able, and big pocket-able form factor but with a larger 4:3 display. The lack of a bezel on the sides will make it easier to hold too," reports 9to5Mac.
The iPhone like design with the volume buttons and the mic will be on the iPad Mini's rear, as speculated by LATimes.
iFans can expect the iPad Mini to include both a front- and rear- facing camera, along with a LTE connectivity option.
With innumerable tips regarding the highly-rumored iDevice circling the tech market, iFans may have reasons to believe that the Cupertino giant will launch the next iPhone or iPad relatively soon. The question that arises now is whether iFans will be happy with the launch of just one iDevice, or will have increased expectation levels that will make them yearn for several new iDevices.
