The rom-com musical drama film "La La Land" has received various accolades, but not everyone is happy about the film, which starred Emma Stone ("Ghosts of Christmas Past," "Zombieland") as Mia Dolan and Ryan Gosling ("The Notebook," "Blue Valentine") as Sebastian Wilder. Rumor has it that both Emma Watson (the "Harry Potter" film franchise, "The Perks of Being a Wallflower") and Miles Teller ("Divergent," "Fantastic Four") regret missing their chance to star in the film.
According to a movie insider, Teller received a $4 million offer to star in Damien Chazelle's ("Guy and Madeline on a Park Bench," "Whiplash") "La La Land," but the actor wanted $6 million instead, per Page Six. Meanwhile, Watson allegedly "couldn't commit" to the film when the role of Mia was offered to her.
Watson reportedly wanted to rehearse for the film in London, and the team tried to meet her demands but the actress "just didn't feel the film was right for her." Because of all these issues, producers cast Stone, and Gosling was soon on board because he was eager to work with his "Crazy Stupid Love" co-star once again.
The source continued, "Now both Miles and Emma Watson are raising hell with their agents for not securing the roles for them - even though it was the actors' fault for being too demanding." Watson started negotiations for "La La Land" when she was still represented by "rival agency WME," but the actress signed with CAA in December.
But according to other sources, Watson said "no" to the musical to work on Disney's "Beauty and the Beast" instead. Page Six also revealed that representatives for both Teller, Watson, and CAA did not comment on the matter.
However, The Huffington Post revealed that on Sunday, Jan. 29, actor Teller commented on the matter via his official Twitter account. He tagged both the Page Six and NY Post Twitter pages, and his post read, "@PageSix @nypost "reporting" alternative facts."
