"X-Men" has one of the largest character list. So there are plenty to choose from for the upcoming brand-new series. FX has confirmed a pilot episode for the new X-Men live action TV series "Legion" written by Matt Nix. By the looks of it, there are going to be several fan-favorite characters coming up for various roles in the iconic Marvel series.

Nix's interview with CNET noted about his vision of entering the live-action platform for the X-Men series. When asked about which characters could appear in the upcoming X-Men live action TV series, Nix stated that he was not allowed to reveal characters for now.

"I would actually be killed," he noted. "They would literally kill me. The only thing that I would say is that it's a...some of those things are slightly up in the air, but the fact that it's a question I can't answer tells you something."

Nix further added that there will be characters which fans would love to see. He didn't reveal further about the cast, but did hint that there will definitely be several of the X-Men in the pilot episode of the latest X-Men live action TV series "Legion."

In the past, fans were skeptical whether any of the popular mutants would actually be a part of the series or not. Reports also note of the series primary focus being on a young mutant child and its family. However, X-Men live action TV series "Legion" will also feature the other characters from time to time.

Fans are well aware of the confirmed appearance of the Sentinels in the series. And, this makes it pretty obvious that X-Men are going to come in to save the day from the ruthless machines. Whether their roles will be cameo or recurring, we will find out soon. We do know that Dan Stevens will play the role of David Haller, Professor Charles Xavier's son, who is a mutant diagnosed with schizophrenia.

X-Men live action TV series will feature 12 to 13 episodes featuring many familiar mutant characters and possibly new ones as well. X-Men live action TV series 'Legion' premieres on Feb. 8, 2017, at 10 p.m. ET on FX and will be directed by Bryan Singer.
