After the massive success of Google's Pixel and Pixel XL handsets, tech enthusiasts are very much eager to know about the release date, specs, features and price details of the alleged Google Pixel 2 and Pixel XL 2 smartphones. Notably, the search giant hasn't yet revealed anything about the highly anticipated smartphones, but, this doesn't stop Pixel fans from speculating about the possible specs and features which might come in store.
According to BGR, a Chinese website has posted the first 3D renders of Google's next generation Pixel smartphones.
Based on the renders, the Google Pixel 2 handset might feature a new design, with thinner bezels on the top and bottom. The handset in the pictures has a glass back with chamfered edges, a fingerprint sensor and center-aligned camera module. The handset in the pictures has two speaker grilles at the bottom, hinting at possible inclusion of stereo speakers, separate volume buttons, a USB Type-C port and the 3.5mm audio jack at the top.
In terms of specs, the Google Pixel 2 is expected to feature the newest in Qualcomm Snapdragon processor technology, most likely a Snapdragon 835processor and an enhanced 6GB RAM with at least 32GB storage, reported Slash Gear. The display sizes of both the Pixel 2 and the Pixel XL 2 handsets are expected to remain the same.
It is to be noted that the current generation Google Pixel handset is not completely water proof. So, the next gen handset is rumored to come with water/dust resistance capabilities with IP67 or IP68 ratings.
As far as Google Pixel 2 and Pixel XL 2 release date is concerned, there are rumors that the tech giant might unveil them sometime around October of 2017. As is the case with most other leaks and renders, we need to take this one with a hefty pinch of salt.
