NBC's show "This is Us" has received positive reviews, and critics love the cast's performance and the plot of the series. Now, the comedy-drama show is on its 12th episode.

According to TV Line, "This is Us" episode "The Big Day" begins with husband and wife Jack Pearson (Milo Ventimiglia, "Gilmore Girls", "Heroes") and Rebecca (Mandy Moore, "A Walk to Remember," "Tangled") dancing to a Stevie Wonder song. After this sweet moment, viewers see Rebecca suffering because of her pregnancy.

She's mostly in a bad mood, and none of her clothes fit. The cranky Rebecca even forgets that it's Jack's birthday. She even loses her cool with her husband because their "dream home" is not ready yet. Afterwards, Miguel (Jon Huertas, "Generation Kill") invites Jack for a round of golf.

The latter accepts as Rebecca "kicks him out of the house." She only remembers that it's her husband's birthday once he's left to play golf with Miguel. Once she realizes what she forgot, she calls herself "a monster."

In another "This is Us" recap via Refinery29, it is revealed that although Jack accepts Miguel's invitation to play golf, he tells the other men they are playing with that he doesn't want to get away from Rebecca. He just wants to "freeze time" so that he can be with her longer.

In an effort to make up with Jack, Rebecca tries to buy ingredients for a cake but she comes home with some Twinkies and a banana muffin. When Jack comes home, he brings with him a camcorder. The "This is Us" episode then shows what viewers already know, Rebecca's water breaking, her labor, and the death of one of the twins.

One plot line in "This is Us" Episode 12 follows a fire inspector who tells a priest that he wants to witness a miracle. Another plot line focuses on Dr. Nathan Katowsky, portrayed by Gerald McRaney, the doctor who helps Rebecca give birth. Nathan also convinces the couple to adopt Randall.

"This is Us" Episode 12 ends with a scene set in the present. Jack shows his kids the video he made featuring Rebecca, which was shot on the day she gave birth.
