Crossover fighting games have been available a long time ago but until now, several gamers are still enjoying it. Basically, the concept of the game involves separated fictional characters, settings, universe, stories, or media in a video game meet and interact with each other. It usually exists when the separate games are developed by the same company.
There are many crossover fighting games developed and made available for PC, PS4 and even Xbox. Some of those which created a name in the industry are Street Fighter X Tekken, Mortal Combat VS DC Universe, and Super Smash Bros. Brawl. And then, there's Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom, one of the today's most played games.
Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom, a crossover fighting game, was developed under the collaboration of Capcom and Eighting. It features both characters present in the Capcom's video game and Marvel Comics. It has first released its game on November 15, 2011, and is available for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
The latest one was available sometime in December 2016, however, gamers from Australia are wondering why it hasn't been launched yet. A statement firstly released through Do You Even Game Bro explains why Capcom has to delay its launch in Australia. According to them, the Classification Board's processes required "Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3" to fix "minor changes" to the game's parental settings. Until then, UMVC3 can't be released in Australia.
Meanwhile, Kotaku reported that "Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3" has officially received an M rating last December 20, 2016, in accordance with the rating given when it was released on PS3. The earlier MVC3 games have gained the rated PG rating such as the Marvel vs Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds and Marvel vs Capcom: Origins. According to PowerUpGaming, "Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3's" classification is remarkably higher compared to the PG rating received by its original released way back in 2011.
