"The Man in the High Castle" had some uncertainties if it will be coming back for a third season. According to sources, the showrunner had left the show and Amazon is looking to find a way on how the series will push through without the mastermind.

Now, The Man in the High Castle is finally back for a third season. That is what was announced by Amazon after renewing it but with a new showrunner to boot. It can be recalled that Frank Spotnitz suddenly stepped down in the middle of production for the show's second season. This was the reason why the third season was put in a very uncertain situation.

The dystopian thriller then continued without having a head director as the entire staff operated the show like a group of people collaborating to make do with what they have - and it ended a blast still. At the TCA press tour, from Executive Producer David Zucker, they explained that they have a system that worked like how they want the story to progress and direct how the series goes.

In the third season for the show, Bosch Executive Producer Eric Overmyer will be assuming the top position for the said series. He was co-creator of HBO's Peabody Award-winning Treme. He is still currently Showtime's The Affair executive producer. He said: " It is very timely that the exploration and discovery of characters at a dark side for the humanity has given incredible stories for the past two seasons.

Amazon Studios comedy and drama head Joe Lewis then announced its renewal in such a glorified fashion. He stated: "Eric and his team has done a really good job crafting stories regarding inner lives of those struggling to do well in a world that is apparently unfair. We are so excited to reveal that "The Man in the High Castle" will be back for third season in 2017!"

Ratings for the show has not been released yet. Amazon deems the show as one of the most popular in its array of shows. The second season of "The Man in the High Castle," according to Amazon had the best weekend debut among its contemporaries. This welcome development is definitely better than all the fans expected as they thought the show will be canceled. Here is what happened in the latest season of the show:
