It seems 2017 will feature another game title from acclaimed game director Hideaki Itsuno. The creator of the "Devil May Cry" series and "Dragon's Dogma" has recently tweeted about creating a new game for 2017.

Hideaki Itsuno's Twitter message revealed that he is planning to announce a new game this year. The "Devil May Cry" series just recently celebrated its 15th anniversary and many fans are wondering if the next game will finally be the new and fifth installment.

On Twitter, Itsuno fans were delighted with the news. Many of his followers replied with suggestions to make a new "DMC" game, while others wanted a "Dragon's Dogma" game for 2017.

In Gematsu's comment section regarding Itsuno's announcement, several fans have voiced their opinions about the next "DMC" game. Some of the commenters want a "Devil May Cry 2" remake or continue with a new chapter with "Devil May Cry 5."

However, Hideaki Itsuno tweet does not guarantee if he's making a new "Devil May Cry" game. It's not also guaranteed if he'll be making a new chapter to the "Dragon's Dogma."

The "Devil May Cry Series" started to break out during its release for Sony's PS2 console. The first "DMC" game was a huge success and garnered good reviews from Metacritic and other game reviewers.

To date, the series has already sold at least 10 million copies worldwide. The game features one of the beloved in-game characters in the history of gaming.

Dante is ranked as the seventh in GameCrush's Top 10: Most Badass Video Game Characters list. The "Devil May Cry Series" is also credited for starting a subgenre of action games called "Extreme Combat."

"Dragon's Dogma" has also received mixed praise from gamers all over the world. Although it is not as famous as the "Devil May Cry Series," many critics have applauded the game for its innovative battle system.

Both games have been previously available for the PC and Microsoft's Xbox consoles. If Itsuno will be following his fans suggestions, gamers will be happy to play "DMC" or "Dragon's Dogma" in both the Xbox One S and Sony's PS4 Pro.
