The fans of "Homeland" have a lot to rejoice about. The "Homeland" Season 6 premiere has arrived seventeen days earlier than the scheduled January 15 date. The showtime subscriber of the series got early access to the episodes of the latest season from December 30. The "Homeland" Season 5's last episode aired on December 20, 2015. As such, the sixth season premiered after the longest break for the show.
It was previously speculated that 2016 will go by without a single episode of "Homeland" Season 6 being released. But surprisingly, the debut episode of Season 6 was aired on December 30. The users and viewers can watch it on the streaming service, OTT app, Hulu and even on demand.

The long cooling off period between the Season 5 and Season 6 of "Homeland" was the result of the difference between the production and management team. The creator, Alex Ganda and Showtime head, David Nevins had mentioned in early 2016 that the break will take place to better develop the plotline of Season 6 itself. What is the "Homeland" Season 6 bringing for all of us? It adds new characters played by Elizabeth Marvel, Jake Weber and Dominic Fumusa, among other cast members.
The show will also feature Emmy nominee F. Murray Abraham and Emmy and Tony Award winner Mandy Patinkin. Main character Carrie Mathison, played by Claire Danes, will be shown living in Brooklyn, with the background story of threats and controversies prevailing in the background.
