Netflix is sincerely hoping it continues its awesome streak from 2016 into the New Year 2017. This year was great for the company because its popularity increased even when the subscription charges were raised. The original Netflix shows also received extremely positive reviews from critics and viewers alike.
However, 2017 is going to bigger and better in terms of upcoming shows on Netflix and there is a lot in store for everyone! Without further ado, let us have a quick look at what all Netflix has planned for its loyal viewers and fans. However, only certain shows from the list below have gotten a 100% green flag currently but we expect all of them to air eventually through the year.
1. "Big Mouth":
You probably remember the hit comedy duo of Nick Kroll and John Mulaney from their popular Broadway show "Oh, Hello". It is no surprise that this chemistry is now slated to be captured in an animated series starting from June 2017.
2. "Bill Nye Saves the World"
He is quite a known figure and has earned the title of the most popular "Science Guy" rightfully. And Bill Bye is back with his own talk show on Netflix where he will be discussing a topic from scientific point of view. He will also be dissecting myths and rumors.
3. "Dear White People"
The show is based on a 2014 movie with the same name and depicts the differences between races, and finding one's destiny.
4. "The Defenders"
This series has been preceeded by the likes of "Luke Cage", "Jessica Jones" and "Daredevil". The Marvel heroes are all coming together to destroy a big threat collectively, and it sure is going to be an egaging series.
5. "Mystery Science Theater 3000"
The series' 10th season aired in 1999 but now Netflix is attempting to resurrect the show. The original show was a massive hit and we expect the same from the Netflix reboot.
6. "A Series of Unfortunate Events"
This Netflix series starring ever favourite Neil Patrick Harris is based on one of the most popular series of novels written for children. Is it going to obliterate the harsh memories of the critically panned 2004 movie?
7. "Wet Hot American Summer: Ten Years Later"
We are looking at a possible sequel series based on the cult commedy classic "Wet Hot American Summer" that was released 15 years back. It will see the ensemble cast of Amy Poehler, Elizabeth Banks, Paul Rudd and Bradley Cooper.
