"Grimm" season 6 is confirmed to be returning to NBC but the fans of the TV series are not so happy with its return because it will be a number of episodes short than previous seasons. According to reports, this will be the last season for the series patterned after the adventures of the brothers Grimm.
Although there have been several online petitions to convince showrunners to extend for "Grimm" season 7, no confirmation for a season renewal has been released as of writing. That said, fans should make the most of the upcoming season because it may be the last time they get to see Nick Burkhardt and the rest of the Portland heroes. Meanwhile, check out the synopsis for the upcoming finale season.
In the last leg of "Grimm" season 6, Nick Burkhardt, played by David Giuntoli, will come face to face once again with Capt. Sean Renard. Since Capt. Sean Renard is already the mayor of Portland, the fate of the city and its constituents are in dire danger.
Of course, Nick Burkhardt will have to find a way to save them from the evil plan of Renard. Family issues between Nick and Adalind will also be highlighted in the first few episodes, especially in the situation that everyone, including their child, is a target of Capt. Sean Renard.
Speaking of children, Monroe and Rosalee are also grappling with issues about bringing a child into a troubled world. Bitsie Tulloch's character, Eve, is also facing identity issues and "Grimm" season 6 might unravel more information about her past.
With the impending "Grimm" season 6 finale, the viewers and loyal followers of the series are expecting a lot of questions to be answered. All loose threads in the previous seasons will be gathered and are expected to be sewn onto one big finale quilt.
"Grimm" season 6 airs on January 6, 2017 on NBC. Check out the short clip below highlighting the season 5 finale to prepare you for the upcoming season premiere.
