iPad owners who are not satisfied with the Safari browser can now look forward to try Mozilla's prototype browser 'Junior'. Mozilla was absent from iPad's browser market so far but now the company is ready to make an entry.
Mozilla is working on a browser for iPad to save the Apple device users from "a pretty miserable experience". There are plenty of third-party browsing apps available in Apple's App Store but this popular browser was missing from that list. There is an iPhone-based app by Mozilla that can sync browsing histories from users PC to iPhone. But now the company is planning for a big entry in the iPad Browser market.
"So here comes the fun stuff," Mozilla's Alex Limi said, when presenting Mozilla Junior iPad web browser. He said Mozilla was planning to present something completely new for iPad with a new form factor. He believes Safari for iPad is not good enough for browsing the internet in the Apple device. Then he said that this new browser came out of necessity. The popular browser creator has ""no vehicle on one of the biggest consumer platforms in the world."
Users are going to enjoy a full-screen browsing experience with Mozilla Junior. When browsing, people will see only two buttons, a back button and a plus button. Tapping the plus button will lead users to three necessary functions for visiting a new Web site. An interesting feature of this new browser is, there won't be any tabs at the top.
iPad is mostly used by family and friends so Mozilla is presenting a feature of creating separate user accounts. Mozilla's private browsing feature will be available in the iPad version too. But people looking forward to try this browser have to wait for a while as there are still some works left to do on the browser. The full design presentation can be found here.
