Carrie Fisher is presently at a Los Angeles hospital Intensive Care Unit (ICU) after she suffered a heart attack upon boarding an airplane, Friday. The news was relayed by her brother, Todd Fisher.
In this ET exclusive news, Todd said: "She's in the ICU and she will be looked after. If everyone could just pray for her, that would be a blessing. Doctors are currently examining her and we're waiting here patiently."
Up to this moment, the status of Carrie Fisher's condition is still unidentified. Fisher was said to be boarding a flight from London to Los Angeles International Airport when the cardiac arrest happened. Some of the passengers, including a nurse, had assisted her. Todd says they are hoping for the best, adding that: "She's in the ICU since we don't know her condition. Please, no speculations. No time for that."
Sources from TMZ, close to Fisher said that upon the plane's descent into LAX, Carrie Fisher had woken and started throwing up and catching her breath. She was then rushed to the hospital to carefully monitor her heart. Erik Scott, the Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman, said they went to the LAX for Fisher due to inbound flight cardiac arrest around noon today. Sources say that she was unresponsive as paramedics made their way to Gate 74 of the Los Angeles airport.
Carrie Fisher is most commonly known for her portrayal in "Star Wars: Episode VIII", "Star Wars: the Force Awakens", "Lego Star Wars" and has appeared in hit comedy series, "Family Guy", "The Big Bang Theory", "Sex and the City" and superhero-themed show "Smallville."
