Gone were the days when people are just people. Now, they are being used as locations as well and if this sound as the most genius creation ever, nothing else will. With Uber, users have the option to forget texting the person that they are about to meet, rather they can set that specific person as their location.

This Uber update, named "Uber to Person" has told Mashable that the new feature recognizes that "a and b" are trying to get each other, rather than just going to point b. Welcome to Uber's new system.

Fast and Easy Set Up. As simple as it sounds, setting it up only needs Uber Users to sync their contacts with Uber app. The rather less complicated update can ask the user to enter a name in the "Where to?" box. From then on, that contact person will receive a request to give their current location.

The good part is the contact person doesn't need to have an Uber app, however, that person should stay in that place as Uber will lock the location on the inactive destination. The one-time location request lasts for only 30 minutes.

According to PhoneArena, there are concerns over the Uber update, however, the point person has the option to decline the request in any unfavorable circumstances. Plus, it will send an ETA to the person who is set as the location.

The new update also includes a surprise for Snapchat users and this involves custom filters exclusively available when traveling with Uber. There are three filters in total and these are - the standard Uber filter, a filter that includes an ETA and a surprise filter. Together with the featured lenses and image messaging app, the three filters can be combined according to the user's preference.

Despite not having any close competition, Uber is still finding a way to step up and set its transportation apart from the others. Aside from the convenience users receive in the form of commuting, Uber updates provide users entertainment, safety, and accessibility.
