"Shameless" Season 7 is about to finish and might not be renewed for another season because of star Emmy Rossum who plays as Gallagher matriarch, Fiona in the series. The actress is reportedly asking for a salary increase demand.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the actress is not only "seeking salary parity with co-star William H. Macy," but also "she is taking the position she should be paid more per-episode than Macy makes after years of earning much less than her Emmy-nominated co-star."
However, other reports suggest that the show is already renewed without Rossum and a new female character is going to replace her. Warner Bros. and Showtime has yet to give comment on this recent rumor.
Meanwhile, the previous episode of "Shameless" Season 7 entitled "Happily Ever After" featured Ian, Mickey, Thelma and Louise headed for Mexico while Frank and Monica made a proposal to their kids.
The synopsis for Episode 11 reads:
Frank (William H. Macy) and Monica (Jane Annabelle Apsion) make an interesting proposal to the kids; Fiona (Emmy Rossum) sees a new business opportunity; Lip (Jeremy Allen White) tries to finally get his sobriety under control when he's pressured by a suddenly grown-up Debbie; Ian and Mickey play Thelma and Louise; Kev (Steve Howey) and V try to start a new chapter after losing the bar to Svetlana."
In the upcoming episode, it is said that the Gallagher family will be in so much pain after losing one of their love ones. Rumors are rife that Monica will die in the Season 7 and Kev and V will plot a revenge to Svetlana.
The Episode 12 synopsis reads:
"The Gallaghers deal with the loss of one of their own and grapple with mixed feelings about their grief. Meanwhile, Frank devises a new scheme, and Debbie, Carl and Liam get roped into it. Elsewhere, Lip takes steps to improve his future; and Kev and V get their revenge on Svetlana."
"Shameless" Season 7 will end on Sunday, Dec. 18 with the finale titled "Requiem for a Slut."
