It appears that the Alvarez Empire arc of "Fairy Tail" would not end anytime soon as the manga series features more revelations that left a huge amount of many fans surprised.

The end of "Fairy Tail" Chapter 511 signaled a more intense fight between Larcade and Sting, after Rogue gives the latter the remaining of his magical power. He then prepares to attack Larcade, but he is put to sleep by the last of his Magics and is in danger of being locked in a perpetual rest. However, Kagura helped Sting from sleeping by pulling him into the world of shadows.

Meanwhile, Natsu continues to travel inside his heart, and this time, an image of Rogue appears to tell more about his past. Rogue then reveals the origin of Natsu's scarf, which was from the fallen-off scales of Igneel and knitted by Anna Heartfilia.

Zeref reappears, describing Anna as a kind lady. Having similarities with Lucy, Zeref also mentioned that Lucy is a direct descendant of her.

He later mentions that Natsu's journey is ending, with his body in the real word unconscious and getting colder. Outside, Porlyusica suggested Lucy to make him warmer with her own body heat, and while hesitant at first, Lucy complies.

Natsu then suddenly mutters from his sleep that he wants to defeat Zeref, however it caused Happy to break down, revealing that Zeref's defeat will also mean Natsu's own death.

In the meantime, Minerva and Yukino regroups with their allies after Sting's victory over Larcade. At the other side of the battlefield, Erza continues to battle Irene. As the latter dodges the former's attacks, Irene declared that Ezra is her daughter.

Ezra, however, denies it and does not care. After an emotional exchange of words, Irene declared that she was once the queen of the Dragons.
