Coolpad launched two budget smartphones last month with the aim to cater the growing markets like South Asia. Let's compare the Coolpad Note 3S and the Coolpad Mega 3.

Starting with the design and display, both Coolpad smartphones sport a similar 5.5" display with a resolution of 720 pixels by 1080 pixels and 269 ppi density.

Another great feature for these budget phones include their processors. The Coolpad Note 3s comes with an octa-core Snapdragon 415 processor with 1.3GHz clocking speed. On the other hand, the less pricier Coolpad Mega 3 has a quad-core Mediatek processor which clocks at 1.25GHz.

The Coolpad Note 3s shines with 13-megapixel primary camera with LED flash while the Coolpad Mega 3 has only 8-megapixel in rear camera with LED flash. The Coolpad Mega 3 has better selfie camera with 8-megapixel lens while the Note 3s has only 5-megapixel front camera.

The internal applications are managed by 3GB RAM in the Coolpad Note 3s coupled with 32GB internal storage option while the Coolpad Mega 3 has only 2GB RAM and 16GB in-built storage.

You can only use 32GB microSD card in the Note 3s while the Mega 3 offers microSD support up-to 64GB.

Both the smartphones run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow based Cool UI 8.0. However there are no additional features expect accelerometer and ambient light sensor.

Contrastingly, the Coolpad Note 3s has a smaller 2500Ah battery while the Coolpad Mega 3 has bigger 3050mAh battery.

Additionally, the Coolpad Mega 3 comes with triple SIM support while the Note 3s is a dual SIM phone which only support 4G in India (Band 40).

Summing up, the Coolpad has launched an upgraded smartphones from its previous launch. The Coolpad Note 3s is tagged at Rs.9999 while the Coolpad Mega 3 is less pricier at Rs. 6999. The specifications offered in these smartphones reflect the tagged price.
