Samsung appears to be proactive about its smartphone Nougat updates with its update list that includes the entire Galaxy A line for 2016, Note 5, and Galaxy S6. Let's find out more.

Several Samsung smartphones are slated to update to Android 7.0 Nougat after the recent leaks.

According to SamMobile, Samsung is reportedly preparing to release the lates Google Android update for the Galaxy A3, Galaxy A5, Galaxy A7, Galaxy A8, Galaxy A9 and Galaxy A9 Pro. The entire 2016 model will likely to get the Nougat taste.

It is highly unpredictable since these devices are mid-range, but have gotten more prompt and frequent software updates.

Also, analyst have claimed that Samsung appears to be proactive about its smartphone updates in the wake of the Galaxy Note 7 discontinuation.

It becomes more evident with the fact that Samsung is reportedly working on adapting the Galaxy Note 7 "Grace" user interface for the Galaxy Note 5 in the upcoming Nougat 7 update.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 is also expected to update to Android 7.0 Nougat at some point and a recent leak reveals details of the software being run on the 2015 smartphone.

Though the manufacturer is currently beta testing Android 7.0 Nougat for the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge and simultaneously. We found test results of Galaxy Note 5 running the latest software from GeekBench.

Also, Android Nougat for the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge was spotted on Geekbench benchmarks.

The Galaxy Tab S2 tablet is also expected to receive Android 7.0, around the same time as the Galaxy Note 5. At this time Samsung has not confirmed update information for the Note 5 or the Tab S2.

After the third beta update of Nougat OS for Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge, we expect a Christmas release. After which we could expect more information about updates for other Samsung devices.
