With the trade deadlinelooming, the latest NBA rumors hinted that the Phoenix Suns and the Cleveland Cavaliers might enter a deal involving point guard Brandon Knight and shooting guard Iman Shumpert.
iSports Times reported that the Phoenix Suns are in the midst of reshuffling their roster and might end up trading Knight to the Cavaliers. If the Suns decide to go ahead with the deal, then they will do so for the power forward Chris Andersen along with Shumpert.
It is stated that bringing in the two players from the Cavaliers onto their roster will help the Phoenix Suns further enhance their offensive and defensive skills.
On the other hand, the Cleveland Cavaliers are planning to rebuild their team and are searching for a talented point guard as a backup to their veteran player Kyrie Irving. Reports suggested that bringing in Phoenix Suns' Knight onto their roster will help them to achieve their goal and thus, maintain their dominance in the Eastern Conference.
It is also stated that Knight will provide the Cavaliers with excellent offensive skills, which will help the team to put up high scores on the board. Also, adding the 25-year-old player is expected to help the Cleveland Cavaliers to provide a tough competition to other teams in the NBA league like the Golden State Warriors.
However, none of the teams have provided any official word on the rumored trade scenario comprising of Brandon Knight, Iman Shumpert, and Chris Anderson. So, these trade rumors should be considered with a grain of salt as of now.
