In the previous episode of "New Girl" Season 6, Jess (Zooey Deschanel) tried her very best to be promoted as the new principal of her school. The current principal, Genevieve, is planning to put up her own school soon. However, Jess failed to make a good impression to Ed (Davaid Hornsby), president of the Parent's Council, so she asked help from Winston (Lamorne Morries) to do undercover duties.

Winston pretended to be a landscape architect named James Wonder. He visited Jess' school and impress Ed and Genevieve, who happened to have a crush on him. When Jess told Genevieve that Ed and James are having dinner at a restaurant, she agreed to convince Ed to make her the next school principal.

Meanwhile, Nick (jake Johnson) was searching for a perfect wedding gift for Cece (Hannah Simone) and Schmidt (Max Greenfield). But later on he decided to get a tattoo of the married couple on his leg which made the pair uncomfortable. They asked Nick to erase the tattoo but he further inked it adding up Jess and Winston in the picture.

The synopsis for Episode 8 entitled "James Wonder" suggested:

"Jess' (Zooey Deschanel) efforts to land the soon-to-be-open principal's job require her to impress the difficult president of the Parents' Council. Meanwhile, Winston's (Lamorne Morris) undercover skills are tested; and Nick (Jake Johnson) can't seem to find the perfect wedding gift for Schmidt and Cece."

Meanwhile, the upcoming episode titled "Es Good" is said to feature Jess and Robby back in each other not as a couple but as friends.

The synopsis for Episode 9 reads:

"Schmidt enlists Nick to help him earn the respect of his difficult house contractor (guest star Billy Gardell). Meanwhile, as Jess and Robby (guest star Nelson Franklin) test the limits of their ability to be in a casual relationship, Winston and Cece debate the pros and cons of not being single."

The Episode 10, on the other hand will finally bring Reagan back.

"New Girl" Season 6 will return on December 6 at 8:30 pm on FOX.
