The Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime and the upcoming Vivo V5 Plus are the two new smartphones in the market which need attention. Let's compare the two.

The Moto M comes with an all-metal body, that curves at the back, making it 7.9mm thick, while the Galaxy J7 Prime comes with a more durable plastic case and 8mm thickness.

The screen on the Galaxy J7 Prime is a 5.5-inch 1080p TFT offering while, the Vivo V5 Plus, has also gone with a 5.5-inch display, but it's used IPS LCD. The resolution on the Vivo V5 Plus, however, is exactly the same as on the Galaxy J7 Prime.

When it comes to the Vivo V5 Plus, you're getting a quad-core Snapdragon 652 processor with a clocking speed of 1.8GHz. Meanwhile, the J7 Prime packs with an octa-core Exynos 7870 processor with 1.6GHz clocking speed, 3GB RAM, and either 16 or 32GB inbuilt storage, which you can also expand with a dedicated MicroSD slot up to 256 GB.

On the other hand the Vivo V5 Plus feature 4GB RAM and 32GB storage with the option to upgrade the storage via the MicroSD card slot up to 128GB.

The Galaxy J7 Prime gives 21 h (3G) talk time from a bigger 3300mAh battery while the Vivo V5 Plus has the similar battery with quick charging option.

The Vivo V5 Plus and the Galaxy J7 Prime currently run on Android 6.0 (Marshmallow). However, both will receive Android Nougat updates over the air.

The Galaxy J7 prime has a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera with LED flash while the Vivo V5 Plus comes with a 13-megapixel camera with f/2.0 aperture, and phase detection autofocus. While the J7 Prime boast 8MP in front snapper, the Vivo V5 Plus is rumoured to shine with a stunning dual 20MP + 8MP front camera with LED flash.

The £220 price tag for the Galaxy J7 Prime will continue to fulfil the budget range smartphone requirement. However, we are anticipating the release of the Vivo V5 Plus and expected price.

So far, the Vivo V5 Plus has fared evenly with the Galaxy J7 Prime except in processor. Also, a pricier Vivo V5 Plus will be a hard choice to make.
