The MacBook Pro 2016 and The Surface Book i7 have quite a lot of differences. The Surface Book's display is detachable, and it's touch screen, but how about we dive into how they look at for the most part.

The new Surface Book keeps an indistinguishable design from the past one. The screen is detachable which lets it be used in the form of a tablet. The portable workstation has a magnesium combination body.

The new MacBook Pro is lighter and more slender than past models. It comes with an all-metal body, and keeps a basic, but upscale look, and has a much bigger touchpad.

The MacBook Pro is accessible in two screen sizes - 13.3-inch and 15.4-inch. The Surface Book just comes in one size - 13.5-inch. The MacBook Pro is the slimmest item at 0.6-inches, versus Surface Book's 0.9 inches. With respect to weight, the MacBook Pro tips the scales at 3lbs for the 13-inch gadget, and 4lbs for the 15-incher. The Surface Book is 3.3-3.6lbs.

The Surface Book offers a higher screen resolution - 3,000 x 2,000. On the other hand, the 13-inch MacBook Pro comes with a resolution of 2,560 x 1,600, and the 15-inch version comes with 2,880 x 1,800.

The MacBook Pro offers Touch ID so that you can sign in with. The Surface Book, on the other hand, comes with Windows Hello, which has facial recognition technology to log you in.

The Surface Book and MacBook Pro come in different arrangements. There is 6th era Intel Core i5 or i7. The Surface Book offers either Nvidia GTX 965M GPU or Intel HD design, while the MacBook Pro has Integrated Intel Iris Graphics 540. The bigger 15-inch includes a Radeon Pro (450 or 455) chip which can be great for 3D gaming.

The Surface Book accompanies a Surface Pen. There is nothing like that on the MacBook Pro, but instead, you have a Touch Bar and a bigger touchpad.

Apple's battery life is not so great for long battery life likers. The new MacBook Pros guarantee around 10 hours of battery life, while the Surface Book asserts between 12 to 16 hours.

The 13-inch MacBook Pro, the Surface Book i7, are available in 256GB, 512GB and 1TB storage options. The 15-inch MacBook Pro comes with a 2TB SSD. Both of them have 8GB or 16GB of RAM.

The entry-level MacBook Pro is priced at $1,499, but without a Touch Bar. With a Touch Bar, it comes up to $1,799. The price for the 15-inch MacBook Pro is at $2,399.

The Surface Book is priced at $1,349, which will give you Core i5 CPU, 8GB of RAM, and a 128GB SSD. If you want to go for the i7 version, which comes with a 256GB SSD, and 8GB of RAM, you may have to pay around $2,399. If you choose a 1TB version which has a 16GB RAM, the price peaks up to $3,299.

However, the main decision between choosing these two gadgets is made on the operating system they come with - Windows 10 on the Surface Book and MacOS on the new MacBook Pro 2016.
