Huawei and the Motorola brands are known for producing certain specs heavy smartphones at budget prices. Let's put them to the test in comparing the Moto M and the Honor 6X.
Huawei and Motorola kept the user interaction similar and standard with 5.5" display, HD resolution, and multi-touch capability. However, the Moto M uses Super AMOLED touchscreen, while the Honor 6X has IPS LCD display.
Upon launch, both phones come with the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS.
In terms of faster processing, Motorola is betting big on Mediatek Helio P15 processor coupled with quad-core 2.2Ghz CPU in the recently unveiled Moto M in China. However, the latest Honor 6X packs with faster Kirin 655 processor with octa-core 2.1GHZ CPU. It has Mali-T830MP2 GPU in it.
The Moto M comes with 32GB internal space and 4GB RAM. Unlikely, the Honor 6X is launched in two versions- 32 GB in-built storage with 3/4GB RAM or 64GB internal memory with 4GB RAM. The duo uses SIM 2 slot for microSD support up to 256GB.
The camera gets an upgrade with a dual 12MP + 2MP front camera with LED flash and phase detection autofocus in Honor 6X as compared with single but powerful 16MP primary camera with LED flash and autofocus in the Moto M. The front snapper shines with 8MP lens in both.
The battery size has been increased in the Honor 6X with 3340mAH battery compared to the 3050mAH battery in Moto M. Additionally, both comes with faster charging option.
The Moto M is launched at a price tag of $295 in China, while the Huawei Honor 6X is said to be at $232. The usability and specifications of both phones are at par to each other. However, if we scale it down to price, the Honor 6X will take the lead.
