The HTC 10 can be compared with two recently launched budget smartphones the Xiaomi Redmi 4 and the Huawei Honor 6X (2016). Let's see if buyers can find an alternative of the HTC 10 in a budget phone.
The User interface of these phones come with a tweaked version of Android 6.0 (Marshmallow). The HTC 10 has its unique HTC Sense UI and can be upgraded to Android Nougat 7.0. The Redmi 4 runs on MIUI 8 while the Honor 6X has Emotion UI 4.1.
The QHD 5.2" display of the HTC 10 has a Super LCD 5 capacitive touchscreen protected by Gorilla Glass 3. On the other hand, the Honor 6X's screen is slightly bigger than the other two with 5.5" display and HD resolution. The Xiaomi Redmi 4 has the smallest 5" IPS LCD display with the least resolution of 720X1280 pixels.
The flagship device of HTC offers the latest quad-core Snapdragon 820 processor clocking at 2.15 GHz in the HTC 10. The Honor 6X (2016) is just behind the HTC 10 with its octa-core 2.1 GHz CPU and Kirin 655 processor. However, the Redmi 4 has the slowest Snapdragon 430 processor among all with octa-core 1.4GHz CPU.
The HTC 10 and the Honor 6X are offered in two variants of 32/64 GB internal storage coupled with 4 GB RAM. Additionally, the Honor 6X also comes with 3GB RAM. On the other hand, the Redmi 4 has only 2GB RAM and 16GB internal memory. All the three phones have expandable storage option up to 256GB.
In terms of camera, the Honor 6X shines with dual 12MP + 2MP rear camera and LED flash, while the Redmi 4 offers a 13MP back camera with LED flash. Though the HTC 10 has a 12MP lens in rear camera, it is packed with OIS, laser autofocus and dual LED flash.
The Redmi 4 and the HTC 10 have 5MP selfie snapper while the Honor 6X boasts a 8MP front camera. However, the HTC 10 has the best camera specifications.
The Redmi 4 has the biggest 4000mAH battery followed by the Honor 6X's 3340mAH and the HTC 10's 3000mAH Li-ion battery.
Summing up, the HTC 10 takes the lead in all aspect except battery, which is satisfying with the price tag of Rs.48944. However, the Honor 6X can be a good budget alternative of the HTC 10 with an expected price of Rs.12900. The least preferred among the three, the Redmi 4 is satisfying with its expected market price of Rs.6990.
