Like other shows on FOX Network, "Empire" Season 3 has just returned to screen after a very long break. However, reports are rife that the hip-hop drama had a hard time getting its viewers back which resulted to low ratings.

"The highest-rated scripted series on TV, Fox's Empire, had a rough re-entry after a month-long hiatus for baseball coverage. In its first airing since October 12, the drama posted series-low marks of a 2.9 Live+Same Day rating in adults 18-49 and 8.1 million viewers," as reported by Deadline. Despite the decrease in the number of viewership, the "Empire" Season 3 remained to be the number one among other programs on the same timeslot.

Moreover, there were reports saying that the show will bounce back soon especially with the appearance of Rumer Willis as Tony Ash in the series, a brilliant singer and songwriter who teams up with Jamal (Jussie Smollett) as he works on his major musical project.

Meanwhile, the upcoming episode of the "Empire" Season 3 entitled "What We May Be" is said to disclose a lot of deepest secrets particularly on Cookie's past and her family.

It seems like Cookie's romance with Angelo will be given a second chance after the two broke up for the reason that Cookie was scared that she will ruin Angelo's campaign as the city mayor.

In addition, there were speculations swirling on the web that a love story for Andre Lyon (Trai Byers) and Nessa (Sierra Aylina McClain) might be developed in the upcoming season.

The synopsis for Episode 7 reads:

"Cookie looks to Candace for tips on how to plan an elaborate family dinner that will impress Angelo's mother, Diane (guest star Phylicia Rashad). Meanwhile, old home videos cause Cookie to face secrets about her relationship with her father that she had tried to hide from her kids, and Andre organizes an unlikely duet."

Fans will have to wait again as the drama series will take another short hiatus and will return on screen on Nov. 30. "Empire" Season 3 airs Wednesday on FOX.
