The latest NBA trade rumors hinted that the Boston Celtics and the Sacramento Kings might ink a deal before the February trade deadline. Reports claimed that the Kings' power forward DeMarcus Cousins and small forward Omri Casspi are currently on the trade block and the Celtics are reportedly interested in bringing them onto their roster.
Sports Rageous reported that the Boston Celtics is planning to upgrade their roster in order to become one of the strong contenders for the NBA title in the 2016-17 season. According to the reports, the Celtics want to enhance their shooting gameplay and thus, adding Cousins and Casspi in their team is expected to help them achieve their goal.
It is stated that the Cousins and Casspi duo will provide the Boston Celtics team with excellent defensive and offensive skills, which will help them put up high scores on the board in the new season. Besides, Casspi is touted to possess excellent three-point range shooting skills, which will be of great help to the Celtics team.
Furthermore, reports hinted that both the players have some issues with the Sacramento Kings' management and desire to get traded to another team in order to provide a boost to their individual career.
On the other hand, few reports stated that the Boston Celtics are also eyeing Sacramento Kings' center Willie Cauley-Stein in exchange for their point guard Terry Rozier and shooting guard James Young. The NBA trade rumors hinted that Willie Cauley-Stein is expected to aid the Celtics to improve their offensive gameplay.
