The latest NBA trade rumors hinted that the Boston Celtics might enter a deal with the New Orleans Pelicans before the trade deadline as they are eyeing the Pelicans' power forward Anthony Davis and point guard Tim Frazier.
iSports Times reported that the Celtics are in the process of rebuilding their roster in order to try and become one of the strongest contenders in this year's NBA season. The Celtics are reportedly keen on adding Davis onto their roster as he is expected to provide excellent defensive skills.
Even Frazier is touted to be a good deal for the Boston Celtics as he will fill the gap created by the departure of Marcus Smart in the deal. It is also stated that with an average of 15.3 points, 9.3 assists and 4.5 rebounds per game this season, Frazier will help the Celtics to out up high scores on the board.
In order to seal the deal with the Pelicans and receive Davis and Frazier, it is rumored that the Boston Celtics will trade a lot of players like small forward Jaylen Brown, point guard Marcus Smart, power forward Kelly Olynyk, Amir Johnson, and two first-round NBA Draft picks in 2017.
Meanwhile, Sports Rageous reported that even Davis is looking forward to joining another team in order to up his games. Rumors suggested that the 23-year-old player might sign up with a team that can provide him with a chance to contend for the NBA title.
However, it is also that the New Orleans Pelicans are not interested in trading Davis this season as he is currently a valuable asset for the team.
It remains to be seen whether the deal with the Boston Celtics is able to lure in the New Orleans Pelicans to trade Anthony Davis. Till then keep posted here for more updates and NBA trade rumors.
