The latest NBA trade rumors hinted that the Toronto Raptors might enter a deal with the Atlanta Hawks before the trade deadline. Reports claimed that the deal might involve the exchange of Hawks' power forward Paul Millsap.
iSports Times reported that the Atlanta Hawks is currently in the process of rebuilding their roster and thus is looking for a potential trade option for Millsap. It is stated that the Hawks might trade the 31-year-old player as he is expected to hit the free agency and then the team will not be able to get anything in return for him.
Nevertheless, there is no word on which player the Raptors will be willing to send to the Hawks in order to seal the deal for trading Paul Millsap.
On the other hand, reports suggested that the Toronto Raptors might be keen to bring in Millsap as he will provide the team with excellent defensive skills, which will help them to improve their ranking in the NBA league. Besides, Millsap has an average of 17.1 points with 9.0 rebounds and 1.7 blocks per game last season, which is expected to help the Raptors to put up high scores on the board.
It is also stated that Millsap might be teamed up with center Jonas Valanciunas. The trade rumors suggested that this union will provide more room for point guard Kyle Lowry and shooting guard DeMar DeRozan in the frontcourt and thus aid the Toronto Raptors to enhance their defensive and offensive gameplay.
Meanwhile, few reports stated that the Toronto Raptors might enter into a three-team deal with the Philadelphia 76ers and the Golden State Warriors. This trade is rumored to witness the trade of Warriors' power forward Kevon Looney in exchange for shooting guard Terrence Ross and few 2017 draft picks.
However, none of the teams have officially confirmed the rumored trade options as of now. Keep posted here for more updates and NBA trade rumors.
