There's a lot of change ahead in "Sleepy Hollow" Season 4. While the cast is getting along quite well, teasing fans a promising new sequel ahead, some think that Nicole Beharie should return or else they will boycott the show.
The TV show has reportedly taken a turn for the worse after Nichole Beharie left. It was noted that there were troubles behind-the-scenes which resulted in a change in showrunners and thus, the third season led to shocking death of the female lead, Abbie Mills.
According to Yahoo News, time-traveler Ichabod Crane (Tom Mison) will have a new home-base and a new partner, Diana to be portrayed by Janina Gavankar and a new mission: to find the witness who can fill the Abbie Mills-shaped hole in his life.
Abbie, portrayed by Nichole Beharie, shuffled off this mortal coil at the end of the third season, a controversial development that did not please the show's fan base.
Mison made it clear in an interiew that like fans, Ichabod will still be feeling Abbie's loss as the new season begins.
"It could very easily have been pushed to the side as something a little difficult to write about," the actor said.
"There were a variety of factors that led to the end of the season," CEO Dana Walden told reporters during a Monday-morning conference call to tout Fox's fall schedule.
"It was not a decision that we wanted to make initially. We ended up being put in a situation where that was a decision that needed to be made," he added.
Whether or not there's a truth to the backstage drama, "Sleepy Hollow season 4" will continue to see Tom Mison (Ichabod Crane) and a new female lead, Janina Gavankar (Diana) along with John Noble (Henry Parrish) despite protests from fans.
John Noble will be returning to the show as well. He played Henry Parrish/Jeremy Crane/The Horseman of War in the first and second seasons.
Though there are no details on how his character's return is possible as Henry Parrish was killed off at the end of season 2, Noble was revealed at the end of a still-unreleased season 4 sizzle reel showed to fans attending the show's New York Comic-Con panel.
Despite controversies about the new season, fans are assured that"Sleepy Hollow" Season 4 is not the finale yet. The American supernatural drama television series is expected to premier midseason of 2017 on Fox.
