"The Walking Dead" Season 7 spoilers are swirling online as the new series is set to return soon. Fans are even counting the days to see what fate awaits certain pivotal characters, especially Rick, Negan, and the new King Ezekiel.
It was said that "Ricktatorship is officially over" as Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) is going to be "powerless."
"He's powerless for the first time since he woke up from the coma," said Andrew Lincoln, as reported by Digital Spy. "Everything he's worked for, for two years, has been shattered in 24 hours."
"So he's not in a good space and I think if he makes it through the first episode, then he's different. He'll be a different man."
Meanwhile, Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) will have a new and challenging chapter in Season 7.
"The next season is a very different Walking Dead from the one we are accustomed to," "The Walking Dead" producer Greg Nicotero told DS. "We close one chapter and open a whole new chapter."
Furthermore, King Ezekiel (Khary Payton) and his pet tiger named Shiva will make their TV debut. Ezekiel is the head of the community called Kingdom which will be an important ally to Rick and his group against Negan.
"I definitely have to take note that there's a seemingly significant portion of the audience that wasn't happy with that direction," Robert Kirkman said regarding the "controversial climax" of Season 6.
"I think everyone on The Walking Dead creative team has taken note of that, and I don't know that I would expect a similar cliffhanger at the end of season seven."
The series has the biggest casts in its history with 20 major characters as actors Austin Amelio, Tom Payne and Xander Berkeley now contracted as full-timers.
"The Walking Dead" Season 7 is expected to premiere on October 23 in AMC.
