According to the latest NBA trade rumors, the Boston Celtics are expected to enter a deal with the Los Angeles Clippers and the Philadelphia 76ers before the start of the new season. Reports claimed that the Celtics are eyeing the Clippers' center DeAndre Jordan to further improve their roster.

Sports Rageous reported that in the rumored trade scenario, the Celtics might give away their point guard Marcus Smart; small forward Jae Crowder, power forward Amir Johnson and first-round NBA Draft pick to the Clippers. The Clippers will, in turn, then trade Smart to the 76ers in order to acquire their center, Nerlens Noel.

Although the trade seems to be a bit unreal for the Boston Celtics, the ESPN trade machine suggested that it might work for all the three teams rumored to be involved in the blockbuster deal. The trade rumors hinted that adding Jordan will help the Celtics to improve their on-court defensive skills, which will help the team to score high in the upcoming NBA season.

It is stated that Jordan might be teamed up with power forward Al Horford and point guard Isaiah Thomas in order to provide a tough competition to other teams in the NBA league.

Moving on, apart from the Boston Celtics, the deal will also benefit the Clippers to improve their overall gameplay. Rumors suggested that Noel will provide the team with excellent offensive and defensive skills whereas Crowder is expected to be a perfect fit in the small forward position. Also, it is stated that Johnson might replace power forward Blake Griffin on the frontcourt.

On the other hand, adding Marcus Smart is expected to help the Philadelphia 76ers to have a balanced roster with forward Ben Simmons and center Jahlil Okafor.

However, there is no official word from any of the teams about the possible blockbuster trade. Keep posted here for more NBA trade rumors and updates on the Boston Celtics.
